Why am I not receiving emails from mygate?

MyGate sends different types of emails to keep residents informed about payments, requests, bookings, and society updates. If you’re not receiving emails, it could be due to email settings or mailbox-related issues.

Types of emails sent from MyGate

MyGate can send the following types of emails to residents:

  • Invoice & Receipt Emails
Sent for maintenance invoices, payment confirmations, and receipts.

  • Helpdesk Emails
Sent when a helpdesk ticket is raised, updated, commented on, or resolved.

  • Amenity Booking Emails
Sent for amenity booking confirmations, cancellations, and other booking-related updates.

  • Society Group Emails
Sent when the society admin triggers a group email from the MyGate admin dashboard.

  • Dues Reminder Emails
Sent by the society admin to flats with unpaid invoices. These may be sent manually or scheduled automatically.

  • Notice Emails
Sent when the society admin shares notices via email with specific residents or groups.

Why you may not be receiving these emails

The delivery of MyGate emails depends on two key factors:

  • Email settings enabled by the society admin
Each email type must be enabled by the society admin in the respective MyGate module. If a module’s email setting is disabled, emails will not be sent.

  • No issues with the recipient’s email ID
Even if emails are enabled, delivery may fail due to issues with the recipient’s mailbox.

What you should check

If the society admin has confirmed that email notifications are enabled, please check the following:

  • Spam/Junk folder in your email account

  • Mailbox storage – ensure your inbox is not full

  • Custom domain email (e.g. society or company email IDs) – check with your domain or email service provider to ensure MyGate emails are not blocked
