I have added my tenant to the MyGate app but he is not able to access the app. What is the issue?

Adding a tenant profile by the owner is just the first step - the tenant needs to complete their own registration process to gain app access.


Here's what your tenant needs to do to access the app:


Install MyGate app - Your tenant must download and install the MyGate app on their device

Create an account with correct number - The tenant must register using the exact same phone number that you used when creating their tenant profile


If the tenant uses the same number, then the access will be granted immediately. However, if the tenant registers through a different number than what you have used, a new request will be raised, and the admin needs to approve the tenant registration request to gain access to the flat. 


Wait for admin approval - After registration, the tenant's request will be sent to the society admin for approval


Approval timeline - The approval process can take up to 72 hours, with automatic system reminders sent to the admin every 24 hours


Until the society admin approves the tenant's registration request, they won't be able to access the app features. The tenant should wait for the approval notification before expecting full app functionality.


If the approval takes longer than 72 hours, the tenant can contact the society admin directly to follow up on their pending request.
