I am not receiving approval notifications on the mygate app

MyGate has a built-in Test Notification feature that checks if your phone is ready to receive notifications.

Steps

1. Open the MyGate app.

2. Tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen.

3. Scroll down and tap Test Now.

4. The app will check for notification issues and guide you through the fix.

1. Network connection

Make sure your phone is connected to the internet. A stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is required to receive notifications.

2. Full-screen notifications

MyGate will check if full-screen notifications are enabled on your phone. Enable them if prompted so that visitor approval requests appear immediately.

3. Battery optimization

Some phones restrict apps running in the background to save battery, which can delay or block notifications.

• Open your phone's battery settings.

• Find MyGate.

• Set battery usage to Unrestricted (or disable battery optimization for MyGate, depending on your phone model).

After completing these steps, you should start receiving notifications.
