I am not receiving approval notifications on the app

Notifications are dependent on multiple factors including device settings, OS configuration, network connectivity. There is a diagnostic test in the app which can help you find the issue. 


To address the issue, we've crafted a simple step-by-step guide. Please go to the Settings page of the app and click on the "Test Now" option under the "Security and Notifications" tab.


Here's what to ensure during the process:


Step 1. All checks should display as passed and in green.

Step 2. If any setting check fails, you'll notice it highlighted in red, accompanied by a convenient "Fix Now" button. Please click on "Fix Now" and follow the suggested actions.

Step 3. The final step involves receiving a test notification – a confirmation that all settings are in order.


If the test notification tool doesn't solve the issue, please follow the below mentioned OS specific steps for any approval notification related issue:


Android: 

  1. Log out from the MyGate app

  2. Long press the MyGate app > App info > Storage > Clear storage and uninstall the app (Please not that doing this will not delete any app data)

  3. Restart your phone, install the app, and log in again. 


                  


IOS: 

  1. Logout from the app 

  2. Go to your phone settings and click on general

  3. Select phone storage and select the MyGate app and click on offload app

  4. Uninstall the app and restart your phone.

  5. Install the app and log in again.
